Using Human Memory Theory to Model and Predict the Preferences of (Non-Mainstream) Music Consumers
Elisabeth is an assistant professor at the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science, and she heads the Social Computing Lab at Graz University of Technology. Her research interests lie in the fields of recommender systems, web science, and computational social science. In her research, Elisabeth exploits digital behavioral data to create and improve personalized recommender systems and to study emergent social phenomena in online systems. To that end, she employs a multidisciplinary research approach, combining data science and machine learning with models and theories from psychology to devise methods that incorporate cognitive reasons underlying user behavior.
